House fire at Padang Kerbau, Jalan Miri By Pass Jalan Miri By Pass, reported to have started at 3:15pm.     Cr. Koh Ek Chong on site by 3:50pm to do quick assessment of fire victims needs. YB Datuk Lee on site by5:20pm to hand over relief supplies.

Visiting fire victims at Kampung Sealine, Lutong.

A total of 296 people from 59 families were left homeless after 46 houses were razed by fire on 8.8.10 @ 8.30pm at Kampung Sealine , Lutong.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported. All victims are now sheltered temporary at Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) Miri.

联合日报美里8日讯）美里红新月第一副主席砂通讯与体育部助理部长拿督李景胜代表移交各界人士捐献的3万3984令吉予甘榜希莱灾黎。有关移交款项今早在红新月礼堂进行，并有59户家庭受惠，每户家庭可获得576令吉援助金。该火灾于8月8日，在甘榜希莱发生，当时共有38户家庭暂住在美里红新月。在9天里，红新月为灾黎提供食物与衣物。
拿督李景胜感谢红新月救灾行动组会员付出时间及精神，他也特别感谢公众人士热心捐出物资现款。同时，拿督李景胜也称赞公众人士第一时间给予救济捐献，显示美里市民的关怀...精神。而且这些善心人士，不分种族宗教，体现一个马来西亚的精神。

Resident of Miri Division Ganie Ugay, Mayor Lawrence Lai Yu Son, Miri District Officer, Boniface Intang Apat, state Assemblyman for Pujut, Andy Chia, Councillor Kho Ek Chong and members of the MRC Miri Chapter were among those who accompanied Dr Chan.
