That facial looks signifying he has a happy old age
When I was in early primary school days, I had a Mdm teacher whom I respect much. She was my class teacher and the wife of our school headmaster, Mr Sia. They have few boys, of which I knew two of them. One in my same class and another younger one was my junior, same class as my younger brother. Both were my close friends and we played together in group almost every evening in the basketball court. My house was just next to the school, therefore I can come to the school every evening.
One day, this younger friend came to me and uttered "Hi, Ah Chong, you have a happy old age !!"
It did really puzzled me what it meant for. I asked him why you said that? He told me that her mother explained to him why I have a lower jaw of teeths which look bigger and in fact different from many other friends. Mdm Teacher explained (after he asked her) to her boy that "Ah Chong has that different facial looks, that means he have a happy old age when he grow old" ("Ah Chong" was my nick name).
Only then I realised and know that my lower jaw of teeths look different from many others. So then, I kept looking into mirror, and did realised the differences and felt like myself was just not looking nice. But, it never turned my self-confidence down. IT WAS SIMPLY because of the words from my Mdm teacher. "Ah Chong has that different facial looks, that means he have a happy old age when he grow old"
Well, I didn't really care about whether she was a "fortune teller" or not. I choosed to believe her statements. I told myself I am going to nuture my life and my future well and looking forward to a happy future life. The difference lower teeths jaw, or rather "Odd and Funny" facial looks of my teeths was no longer an issue to defeat my self-confident anymore. I choose that positive believes until today.
It was my dear Mdm teacher's positive words and comments which really helped me to feel proud of myself and stay strong. Just a simple and positive comments can do so much. She might never realised and noticed it's powerful impact and influces in a person's life. But it did.
A powerful & positive statements or words can be so powerful ! YES, positive words are just powerful.
Dear friends, let's be kind and positive to all our children. Empower them with our positive words. Each and everyone of us can be so important to the children around us.
