Words and Phrases in My Life

2 婶婶,你这孩子长大了很有前途。

Auntie, This boy has a bright future when he grown up

It was in my early primary school days, I was about 8 to 9 years old.
One day, my mother brought me along to visit my uncle family. She was having happy chatting with the family members in the house. After done, we were about to leave and go home, I remember one of my cousin sisters went out to send us, before we left, I was around pulling my mom's skirt to urge for quick go. I heard my cousin sister told my mom a phrase which puzzled me and motivated me so much.
"Auntie, This boy has a bright future when he grown up" she said to my mom. I heard about it clearly, but I was wondering what's that meant. My mom just smiled with silent. To me, she was admitting the statement !
From that on, I was always told myself " I have to be GREAT when I grown up.
It was those motivational words framed up me to behave well and not to "disappoint" them.

Here, we learn that Positive Words are in fact better than scolding and negative words.
